Laziness Inspired Secession Move – Olorunfemi Adeyeye | GOVERNMEND

Olorunfemi Adeyeye

Seyi Oyetunbi:

Femi Adeyeye, the National Publicity Secretary for the African Action Congress, during his virtual interview on Governmend, during the state of the nation series, described the call for secession as a thought inspired by laziness. He said he likes the fact that many Nigerians are living with the reality that nothing is working, no working country with a sustainable development is managed like Nigeria. But the problem is that you cannot break away with half a problem when you can call for an overhaul, a revolution that would fix the leadership problem that Nigeria is confronted with.

“Of course it’s interesting to know that people are beginning to know that Nigerian leaders have created enough problems, but to secede means you want to break away with some bad leaders, some thieves in power, some oppressors; for me that’s laziness.” Mr. Olorunfemi Adeyeye said.

He believes Nigeria has a common enemy, and that’s the ruling class. Thus, instead of clamouring to break away, we should fight for liberation.
