A Tale of Atiku’s Clarity vs. Tinubu’s Hazy Identity

In a recent development, the Atiku Media Office has issued a firm response to attempts by the presidency and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to embroil former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in forgery allegations. The heart of the matter revolves around Atiku’s change of name from Siddiq to Atiku Abubakar, which, according to the Media Adviser to Atiku Abubakar, Paul Ibe, is well documented.

Ibe’s statement underscores the fact that Atiku’s shift in nomenclature is supported by an affidavit dating back to August 18, 1973. This shift, spanning over five decades, is a matter of public record. The statement contends that efforts to draw Atiku into a forgery controversy are simply a ploy to downplay other forgery allegations.

Notably, the statement also delves into the recent discoveries related to President Bola Tinubu’s educational records, suggesting that he impersonated himself to secure admission to Chicago State University (CSU). It alleges that Tinubu submitted a false form to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in 1999, and further accuses him of forging school certificates and transcripts.

The statement reveals that CSU, in 1979, notified Tinubu of outstanding pre-qualifying examinations, which were not reflected on his transcript as retaken. Moreover, claims of employment with Arthur Anderson Accounting, Deloitte, and Mobil Nigeria were debunked by the respective organizations.

The statement also highlights the curious addition of the name “Adekunle” to Tinubu’s National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate on Wikipedia. Ultimately, it calls for an end to comparisons between Atiku Abubakar and President Bola Tinubu.

In terms of clarification, the statement emphasises that all of Atiku Abubakar’s names can be traced back to his family heritage, with the adoption of “Atiku Abubakar” as his official name during his tenure in the Nigeria Customs Service. It portrays Atiku’s life as an open book in contrast to the mysterious past of Bola A. Tinubu, whose name reportedly lacked historical or social connections until the late 1970s.
