The Defence Headquarters in Nigeria has reported significant achievements in recent weeks, including intercepting stolen crude oil worth N1.2 billion.
The military has been actively engaged in counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency operations, preventing terrorist attacks on soft targets.
During these operations, 73 terrorists were killed, 182 were arrested, and 68 hostages were rescued in just one week.
Furthermore, the troops identified and destroyed 63 illegal refining sites, along with various equipment and vehicles used by oil thieves.
They recovered a substantial amount of stolen crude oil and refined petroleum products, with an estimated value of over N1.2 billion. In addition to this, a significant number of weapons and ammunition were seized.
These achievements reflect the military’s commitment to maintaining security and tackling criminal activities, particularly in the oil-producing regions.
