Tightened Security Measures as President Tinubu Restricts Access to FEC Meetings

President Bola Tinubu has issued a warning to government officials and family members regarding unauthorised attendance at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meetings.
He made this announcement at the commencement of the FEC meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Tinubu expressed his displeasure over individuals who had been attending FEC meetings without proper invitation.
He clarified that only specific individuals would be granted access to the meetings for conducting the nation’s business.
Tinubu then announced the individuals who had permission to attend FEC meetings. These included Hadiza Usman, Special Adviser on Policy Coordination; Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy; Hakeem Muri-Okunola, Principal Private Secretary; and Damilotun Aderemi, Private Secretary.
He made it clear that unauthorised access to the FEC meetings would not be tolerated and that people should only attend if he had personally sent for them.
Tinubu also emphasised the importance of proper event planning when it comes to government matters and expressed his confidence in the integrity of his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.
He called for an end to campaigns of calumny and insinuations against his administration.
The President directed the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and the Head of Civil Service of the Federation to take note of his directive.
