Putin Accuses the US and Its Allies of Fueling Middle East Chaos

Russian President Vladimir Putin has placed blame on the West for the ongoing crisis in the Middle East, particularly in the Gaza Strip, where Israel has been conducting military operations against Hamas militants.
Putin accused the “ruling elites of the U.S.” and their allies of being responsible for the deaths of Palestinians in Gaza and for fomenting conflicts in various other regions, including Ukraine, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria.
He suggested that the Western powers were intent on maintaining chaos in the Middle East and were trying to undermine countries that advocated for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and a peaceful resolution to the crisis.
Russia, in contrast, has supported calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and a two-state solution. This stance has put Moscow at odds with Israel, particularly after Russia received a delegation from Hamas for talks.
Putin’s comments come in the context of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, which Russia has framed as a struggle for its own survival against Western aggression.
Putin has portrayed the conflict in Ukraine as a way to counteract Western attempts to weaken and dismantle Russia.
In his speech, Putin stated that Russia was also engaged in a fight against the “shadowy forces” he believed were responsible for the Middle East crisis on the battlefields of Ukraine.
He emphasised that resolving the conflict in Palestine required the creation of a sovereign and independent Palestinian state, suggesting that this may not align with the United States’ objectives in the region.
Putin went on to suggest that Western intelligence services, along with Ukraine, played a role in recent events in Dagestan.
Over the weekend, an incident occurred in Makhachkala, where a group attempted to target passengers arriving from Israel at the local airport. While making these claims, Putin did not provide any concrete evidence to support his allegations.
