Minister of Power Involved in Plane Skid at Ibadan Airport
The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, was involved in a serious incident at Ibadan Airport when the private jet he was travelling in skidded off the runway.
The HS25 aircraft, operated by Flint Aero, had departed from Abuja and was en route to Ibadan when the incident occurred.
The plane landed short of the threshold by about 50 metres and skidded into a bush short of the runway.
Thankfully, there were no fatalities, and all passengers and crew were safely evacuated. However, the aircraft suffered substantial damage.
An investigation into the incident has been initiated by the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau.
