A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has expressed confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s ability to address Nigeria’s economic challenges and lead the nation to a better future.
Oyintiloye, who served on the defunct APC Presidential Campaign Council, shared his views during a press conference in Osogbo.
He emphasised that all President Tinubu requires from Nigerians to tackle economic issues is patience, perseverance, endurance, and support from citizens.
Oyintiloye encouraged Nigerians, both at home and abroad, to have faith in the president’s capability to provide practical solutions to the country’s challenges.
The APC chieftain highlighted that President Tinubu had a genuine interest in the welfare of Nigerians and was well-prepared for the responsibilities of leadership.
He acknowledged that while some of the economic policies may appear challenging, they are designed to put the nation’s economy on the right track and ultimately benefit the people.
Oyintiloye, a former lawmaker, reassured Nigerians that the current hardships they are facing will eventually become a thing of the past.
He cited President Tinubu’s background in the private sector, particularly his experience in banking and the oil industry, as assets that would help him address the nation’s economic issues.
He expressed optimism that the removal of fuel subsidies and the government’s monetary policies would lead to improved electricity, job opportunities, enhanced security, infrastructure development, housing provisions, and food security.
Additionally, Oyintiloye commended the Nigerian judiciary for its landmark judgement in President Tinubu’s favour and praised the president for appointing capable individuals to his team.
He highlighted President Tinubu’s commitment to the “Renewed Hope Agenda” for Nigerians, citing the president’s directive for his cabinet members to sign performance bonds as an example of his dedication to good governance.
Oyintiloye concluded that these efforts would boost people’s confidence in the democratic process and contribute to the country’s progress.
