Kano Governor Highlights Commitment to Effective Justice Administration
Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has emphasized the need for law enforcement agencies to protect and respect the fundamental human rights of citizens in the state.
He made this statement during a one-day training workshop organized by the Kano State Police Command, with his message delivered by the Director-General of Special Services at the Government House.
The governor urged police officers and other security agents participating in the workshop to become well-versed in the Administration of the Criminal Justice System Law (ACJL).

He noted that the training workshop’s second edition was a significant step in enhancing the capabilities and expertise of law enforcement agencies in carrying out their duties within the framework of criminal justice laws in the state.
Governor Yusuf expressed the importance of the ACJL in modernizing and streamlining the criminal justice system, emphasizing its role in protecting the rights of both the accused and the victims and ensuring that justice is delivered fairly and promptly.
He stated that the workshop was taking place at a critical time when society faces evolving challenges that require a proactive and systematic approach to the administration of justice.
The ACJL provides a legal framework to address these challenges and promote effective justice administration in Kano State.
