The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia clarified the recent visa cancellations for Air Peace passengers, stating that they failed to meet the country’s entry requirements.
The embassy issued a statement in Abuja, revealing that the passengers submitted incorrect information, violating Saudi Arabia’s rules and regulations.
Earlier in the week, 264 passengers on an Air Peace flight arrived in Jeddah, but their visas were cancelled, leading to 177 passengers being flown back to Nigeria.
The Saudi embassy explained that the passengers had obtained a visa category that did not apply to them, and the incorrect information was discovered upon their arrival.
The embassy emphasised the importance of adhering to the Kingdom’s procedures and laws, urging all visitors to review their documents for conformity before departing from their countries.
The statement highlighted that this procedure is not exclusive to Nigerian citizens but extends to citizens of other countries as well.
