House Speaker Abbas Pledges Support for Strengthening Nigerian Armed Forces
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has expressed the commitment of the 10th National Assembly to strengthen the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies to address the security challenges in the country.
During a two-day post-inauguration retreat for members of the House Committee on Defence, Abbas put emphasis on the need for a collective effort to tackle complex security challenges and advocated for a comprehensive approach to national security.
He pledged the continued support of the House of Representatives in providing adequate funding, modern equipment, training, and improved welfare packages for security personnel.
