APGA Chairman Urges Soludo to Embrace Peace Following Court Victory

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Edozie Njoku, has called for reconciliation and peace within the party, directing his appeal to Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo.
This plea comes in the aftermath of an Abuja High Court’s dismissal of forgery allegations levelled against Njoku by the Nigeria Police Force on Tuesday.
The charges, filed on November 22, 2022, accused Njoku and the Youth leader of APGA, Chukwuemeka Nwoga, of conspiring to alter a judgment of the Supreme Court delivered by Justice Mary Peter Odili (rtd).
Njoku, in response to the court ruling, accused Governor Soludo of misusing state resources to wage a campaign against him and undermine the foundation of the party that facilitated Soludo’s rise to the governorship.
Rather than focusing on rebuilding APGA, Njoku claimed, the governor has been squandering state funds in a futile battle against him and the party.
Suggesting a resolution, Njoku advised Governor Soludo to consider joining the All Progressives Congress (APC) if that aligns with his political preferences, allowing the dedicated APGA members to pursue their objectives without interference.
Addressing reporters in Abuja, Njoku expressed his determination to endure political litigation, emphasizing that justice would prevail, particularly when powerful individuals are involved.
He referenced his previous incarceration after facing charges, stating that he maintained confidence in the judicial process.
Njoku’s call for peace within APGA echoes the need for internal cohesion and collaboration, emphasizing that the party’s true believers should be allowed to contribute without external disruptions.
In his appeal to Governor Soludo, Njoku urged an end to the ongoing feud for the sake of unity and progress within APGA.
