The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has vehemently rejected allegations of a purported plot, alongside the Kwankwasiya Movement, to occupy the Supreme Court and foreign embassies in Nigeria.

The party’s acting national chairman, Abba Ali, dismissed these claims as baseless and a product of the imagination of a coalition of civil society organizations.

In a statement, Ali stated, “The allegations by the so-called coalition are laughable and show the extent to which the opposition in Kano State will go to fabricate lies in its desperation to seize power by all means.”

He accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of resorting to blackmail, intimidation, and falsehood to influence public opinion, the judiciary, and security agencies.

Ali affirmed the NNPP’s confidence in the nation’s judiciary as the temple of justice and a bastion of hope for aggrieved citizens.

Emphasizing their commitment to the rule of law, Ali declared the party’s determination to protect and defend its mandate across the country and resist any attempt to subvert the people’s will.

He underscored the sanctity of the ballot and the non-negotiable nature of the people’s mandate, stating firmly, “The mandate of the people is not negotiable and not for sale.”

In a separate statement, the NNPP clarified that it was not in coalition with the PDP or any other political party, refuting reports of the formation of such a coalition.

The party’s leadership emphasized that there is no truth to the claims of collaboration with other political entities.
