Blessing Agbomhere Throws Hat into the Ring for Edo Governorship, Vows to Tackle Poverty and Unemployment

Blessing Agbomhere, a zonal executive member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the south-south region, has officially declared his candidacy for the upcoming Edo governorship election in 2024.
Speaking to supporters in Fugar, Ward 1, Etsako Central Local Government Area of the state, Agbomhere outlined his vision to address Edo’s pressing issues of widespread poverty and unemployment if elected as the APC candidate and subsequently as governor.
Expressing deep concern for the state’s socio-economic state, Agbomhere pledged a commitment to elevate Edo from what he described as a condition of “hopelessness and deprivation” to one of notable economic prosperity.
During his address, Agbomhere attributed Edo’s challenges to what he labelled as the “corrupt, disorganized, and purposeless leadership” of the current administration led by Governor Godwin Obaseki.
Agbomhere stressed the urgent need for innovative and purposeful leadership in Edo, advocating for a departure from what he termed the “uncoordinated and visionless” governance of the incumbent administration over the past seven and a half years.
He called on the people of Edo to reject any gubernatorial aspirant lacking the capacity to offer effective leadership and solutions to the state’s ongoing issues.
