Senator Jimoh Ibrahim Consoles Akeredolu’s Family, Affirms Governor’s Assured Place in Heaven

Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, representing Ondo South Senatorial District, paid a visit to Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, the late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s wife, at their residence in Ibadan on Friday to offer his condolences.
Accompanied by his wife and son, Senator Ibrahim expressed his sympathy to the bereaved family and conveyed his belief in the late governor’s place in heaven. He emphasized that Governor Akeredolu’s righteous life and actions had secured his eternal destiny, stating that true sorrow in death stems from uncertainty about one’s afterlife.
According to Senator Ibrahim, the passing of Governor Akeredolu is not a cause for anguish because of his assured place in heaven. He encouraged others to find solace in the late governor’s legacy, citing Akeredolu’s inclusive governance style that touched the lives of both high-ranking officials and ordinary citizens.
Reflecting on Akeredolu’s tenure as governor, Senator Ibrahim highlighted the people-centric nature of his policies and his commitment to advocating for true federalism in Nigeria. He praised Akeredolu’s efforts as a Senior Advocate in championing pro bono cases and pushing for governance reforms at the national level.
Senator Ibrahim concluded by acknowledging that Governor Akeredolu’s presence would be deeply missed for a considerable time due to the significant impact he had made during his lifetime.
