Kano State Hisbah Board Seizes Truck With Over 24,000 Bottles of Alcohol

The Kano State Hisbah Board has intercepted a truck transporting over 24,000 bottles of assorted alcoholic beverages along Zaria Road in Kano. Alongside the seizure, the board apprehended the truck driver and two other individuals involved in the incident.
Alhaji Abba Sufi, the Director-General of the Kano State Hisbah Board, revealed these details in a statement released by the board’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Lawan Ibrahim-Fagge, on Wednesday in Kano.
According to Alhaji Abba Sufi, the truck, loaded with a significant quantity of alcoholic drinks, was intercepted from smugglers during a midnight operation. He emphasized the proactive stance of Hisbah personnel in enforcing a zero-tolerance policy against the smuggling of beer and other intoxicating substances into the state.
