President Bola Tinubu has announced plans to establish a state-of-the-art fashion hub in Makurdi within the next 90 days. This initiative was disclosed by Vice President Kashim Shettima during the inauguration of the Expanded National Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Clinics in Makurdi, themed “Benue Open for Business.”

Vice President Shettima highlighted that the modern fashion hub would be equipped with cutting-edge facilities to support small businesses in the tailoring sector of Benue State. He emphasized that this move not only fulfills President Tinubu’s commitment to job creation and accessible capital but also pays homage to the hardworking spirit of the people of Benue State.

Describing Benue as a land known for its dedication to hard work, artistic excellence, creativity, agricultural prowess, and commercial activities, Vice President Shettima praised the productivity and industriousness of the state’s residents. He emphasized the importance of the MSME Clinics in recognizing Benue’s contribution to national trade and driving the MSME subsector towards growth.

The Vice President stressed the significance of the clinics as symbols of empowerment, where dreams meet opportunities, innovation thrives, and entrepreneurship is nurtured through strategic governance. He urged Nigerians to seize this moment to build a path to prosperity and leverage the country’s resources for the success of micro, small, and medium enterprises.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to supporting MSMEs, Vice President Shettima announced that the Federal Government had allocated N75 billion, with a nine per cent single-digit loan from the Bank of Industry (BOI) to aid MSMEs. He reassured that President Tinubu is dedicated to resolving the challenges facing the MSME space in Nigeria.
