President Tinubu Holds Crucial Meeting with APC Governors, Discusses Security and Governance

President Bola Tinubu recently held a meeting with a delegation of governors from the All Progressives Congress (APC), known as the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), where they discussed various issues, including the country’s security challenges.

The PGF delegation, headed by Chairman and Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, praised President Tinubu for his efforts in tackling insecurity and expressed their support in overcoming this pressing issue. Governor Uzodimma commended the President for his leadership and achievements since assuming office, highlighting the President’s commitment to the renewed hope agenda.

During the closed-door meeting, which took place in the State House Council Chamber, 15 governors were in attendance. These included Yahaya Bello (Kogi), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe), Nasir Idris (Kebbi), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Uba Sani (Kaduna), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), Mai Mala Buni (Yobe), Francis Nwifuru (Ebonyi), Ahmad Aliyu (Sokoto), Bassey Otu (Cross River), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), and AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the governors to express their appreciation for the President’s support to sub-national governments, particularly in providing funding and interventions beyond statutory allocations.
