President Tinubu Appoints New Chief Executive Officers For NOSDRA, OORBDA

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Engr. Chukwuemeka Woke as the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA), and Dr. Adedeji Ashiru as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority (OORBDA).

Woke, an engineer and environmental specialist, previously served in various capacities including as Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State and Chief of Staff, Government House, Port Harcourt. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Petrochemical Engineering and has experience in the Environmental, Safety, and Operations Departments of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

Dr. Ashiru holds a doctoral degree in Engineering from the Commonwealth University, UK. He has led a consortium of blue-chip companies and has a wealth of professional experience.

The President expects the new appointees to utilize their expertise to benefit these agencies, ensuring transparency in their operations and fostering sustainable development.
