An activist from Warri Kingdom in Delta State, known as ‘Lord Of Warri,’ has disclosed that a student at Ajayi Crowther University, who was killed by fellow students, was a prince named Alex Timileyi. In an open letter to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, the activist urged for justice for the deceased, emphasizing that the perpetrators of the crime must be held accountable.
The activist highlighted that Alex Timileyi was the son of Princess Antonia Emiko and a descendant of the Olu Erejuwa II, making him a member of the Warri Kingdom royalty. The letter condemned the vigilante justice that led to Alex’s death, stressing the importance of fair trials and due process.
The letter called for a thorough investigation into the matter to ensure justice is served and urged the governor to take swift action against the culprits. It emphasized the unity between the Yoruba and Itsekiri people and urged for the murderers to face the full consequences of their actions.
Meanwhile, the university management stated that the group of students responsible for assaulting Alex had been expelled and handed over to the police for prosecution. They clarified that the institution has a zero-tolerance policy towards anti-societal behavior and reiterated that the expelled students were not associated with any cult groups.
In summary, the activist’s letter seeks justice for Prince Alex Timileyi, emphasizing the need for a fair investigation and legal proceedings against the perpetrators. The university’s response confirms disciplinary actions taken against the students involved in the incident.
