Governor Oborevwori Presents SUVs to Judges in Delta; Former President Jonathan Inaugurates New High Court Complex

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori fulfilled his promise by presenting 20 Toyota Prado SUVs to judges in the state. The gesture was part of his commitment to enhancing the judiciary’s operations.
The newly completed Delta State High Court Complex in Asaba was also inaugurated, drawing praise from former President Goodluck Jonathan. Jonathan commended Governor Oborevwori for his dedication to infrastructure development, emphasizing the importance of continuity in governance.
Jonathan applauded Oborevwori’s integrity, citing his return of unutilized funds totaling over N500 million to the state treasury during his tenure as Speaker of the State House of Assembly. He urged the governor to continue managing state resources responsibly for the benefit of the people.
The former President encouraged Delta State residents to support their governor, highlighting the detrimental effects of undermining government leaders for political gain.
Oborevwori reiterated that the SUV presentation fulfilled a promise made to the judges, demonstrating his commitment to honoring pledges. He emphasized his administration’s focus on completing projects inherited from previous governments, citing the judiciary’s need for a suitable operational space as a motivating factor.
Oborevwori expressed gratitude to Jonathan for inaugurating the High Court Complex, recognizing him as a distinguished Nigerian patriot and leader.
The Chief Justice of Nigeria, represented by the Presiding Judge of the Court of Appeal, Asaba Division, commended the state government for its efforts in completing the project.
