Anti-Graft Agency, EFCC Raids Abuja Hotel Owned By Assistant Police Commissioner, Arrests Suspected Fraudsters

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) conducted a raid on The Godfather’s Place hotel in Abuja, arresting suspected internet fraudsters. The hotel is owned by an Assistant Commissioner of Police serving in Rivers State. Several suspects were apprehended during the raid, while others managed to flee. The operation was prompted by a tip-off about fraudulent and criminal activities at the hotel. Additionally, the EFCC raided lounges and event centers in Akure, Ondo State, arresting over 50 individuals suspected of internet fraud. Among those detained was a groom-to-be celebrating his bachelor’s eve. The EFCC seized numerous items including vehicles, laptops, and phones. These raids highlight efforts to combat cybercrime and criminal activities in Nigeria.
