Boko Haram Terrorists Attack Commercial Bus In Yobe, Execute Three Identified Christians As CAN Laments

In Yobe State, suspected Boko Haram terrorists attacked a commercial bus, targeting passengers identified as Christians. The incident occurred near Kamuya village in the Biu Local Government Area of Borno State. The terrorists abducted four Christian passengers, leading them into the bush, where three were later executed. The fourth person’s whereabouts remain unknown. The victims were traveling from Biu in Borno State to Damaturu, the capital of Yobe State. Witnesses reported the incident and expressed sorrow over the killings, hoping for an end to terrorist activities. The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Yobe State chapter, condemned the killings and called on the government and security forces to protect citizens regardless of religious affiliation. When contacted, the police in Yobe State declined to confirm the incident, redirecting inquiries to the military. However, the Nigerian Army spokesperson did not respond to calls or messages. The incident highlights ongoing security challenges in the region, with terrorist attacks causing fear and concern among residents.
