President Bola Tinubu has given the green light for Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport in Ibadan, Oyo State, to be upgraded to an international airport, marking a significant step towards enhancing economic growth and regional connectivity.Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State made this announcement during a visit by Air Marshal Hassan Baba Abubakar, Chief of Air Staff of the Nigerian Air Force, to the Governor’s Office in Ibadan.
