The Lagos State Government has recently shut down Donald’s, a restaurant owned by renowned socialite and Instagram celebrity Pascal Okechukwu, commonly known as Cubana Chief Priest. The closure, announced by Tokunbo Wahaba, Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, was the result of persistent environmental issues. Wahaba disclosed on his X account that the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) had repeatedly warned the establishment about noise pollution and other infractions before taking this action.According to Wahaba, despite multiple abatement notices and warnings from LASEPA, Donald’s Fast Food failed to comply with the required environmental standards. Consequently, the restaurant was sealed on Adebayo Doherty Street in Lekki 1. This move underscores the government’s commitment to enforcing environmental regulations and addressing public complaints related to noise and other infractions.
