Channel campaign funds to fix Nigeria’s problems, says Canadian-Nigerian doctor
Canadian-Nigerian doctor Arinze Onwumelu advises the government of President Tinubu to channel campaign funds into building essential infrastructure like schools, roads, and hospitals and providing electricity.
Arinze made this comment via his social media channel X on Thursday, speaking in displeasure over the coalition formed by Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Tinubu, mobilising prominent Igbo people for funding on campaigns that should be used to build schools and build roads, electricity and hospitals.
He spoke about the high cost of fuel and the fluctuation of the dollar in the foreign market; the government is not doing anything about it, and nobody from the Nigerian regions is speaking up.
The Canadian citizen criticised the role that the president’s son is playing in all of this, saying that he doesn’t think the president’s son should be more visible than the president.
Admits all of this, he said he received threats and messages due to their stance.
